ALLEN LANDVER
Allen Landver is a bi-lingual writer, performer, and filmmaker from Los Angeles. His fiction has been published at Black Warrior Review, The Los Angeles Review, Hunger Mountain, and more. His poems by the Altadena Poetry Review, Ligeia, Rejection Letters, and others. He is currently at work on a novel that blends magical realism and historical fiction about the assimilation of two Ukrainian families, told from the perspective of a Yiddish-speaking black cat. Allen’s films have screened all over the world and have won awards for screenwriting and acting. He holds an MFA from the American Film Institute, and his work has been supported by the Kenyon Review. You can read his kinda-funny essays on the newsletter BASKETBALLWEATHER. The Izzys, a band he managed in a previous life, recorded a legendary Peel Session at the BBC. He has been told that he looks like Gene Wilder.
